How to verify an Axe Talent email and whether a recruiter is real

How do you verify an Axe Talent email? Since 17 October it takes one step: open axetalent.com/verify, paste the sender’s email address, and the page tells you whether the message genuinely came from us. It asks for no sign-up and no personal data, and you do not have to reply to the sender.

Try it here:

The checker needs JavaScript. Open axetalent.com/verify to run it there.

Recruitment scams are rising, and recruiters’ names travel with them. An academic who receives an unexpected email about a professorship, naming a real university and a real role over a plausible signature, has had no quick way to tell a genuine approach from a borrowed letterhead. Our own name has been borrowed, so we wrote the check ourselves. It compares the domain of the address you paste, character for character, with the seven domains we send from, a list we cross-checked against our live sending accounts on 17 October.

Is this job real? Three checks before you reply

How to verify if a job is real is the question behind every scam email, and three checks answer it. The first is the sender: a genuine recruiter writes from a company domain, and the company can confirm it; for Axe Talent, the verify page does that in a second. The second is the role: a real search has a real job description, published somewhere you can find without the sender’s link, and ours are on this site, each carrying the same “Verified by Axe Talent” block. The third is the request: a genuine recruiter never asks for money, bank details, passport scans or a “processing fee,” and we ask only for a resume and a conversation.

How to verify a recruiter email in general

Start with the agency’s licence. In Singapore every employment agency holds a licence from the Ministry of Manpower, with a number you can check on the Ministry’s public register, and ours is EA Licence No. 23S2064. Write to the agency’s published address rather than replying to the email, and treat urgency as a warning sign, because a professorship search runs for months and nobody genuine needs your answer by tonight.

Is Axe Talent a real recruitment agency?

Axe Talent Pte. Ltd. is a real company registered in Singapore, where Natalia Rostova opened the agency in 2023, and it holds an employment agency licence from Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (EA Licence No. 23S2064). Natalia leads every search personally, and if an email about a role claims to come from her, the verify page will tell you in one step whether it did. When the page confirms the sender, you can reply knowing that the letterhead and the role behind it are both real.

Axe Talent is the first AI-native agency recruiting researchers for universities and industry with its own AI tools. Axe Builder, our resume builder for researchers, turns an ORCID iD into an academic resume with citations, h-index, journal quartiles and Crossref data already in place, and it is free to start. Universities and research teams: write to natalia@axetalent.com or book twenty minutes on Natalia’s Calendar. More on the News & Updates page.
