All three are permanent posts on campus in Greater Kuala Lumpur, with relocation support.
The School of Computer Science, ranked in the global top 100 for AI and Data Science, is hiring at both senior levels to set its research direction for the coming years. It has around 50 academics and close to 3,000 students, with a dedicated Huawei Lab and a cybersecurity hub on campus. The School of Media & Communication, ranked 89th in the world for Marketing, is building its research base around practice-led work, in which a researcher studies a subject, makes a film about it and publishes a paper on it.
What does a professor role at a Malaysian university require?
Each job description states its bar in numbers: publications in Q1 and Q2 journals over five years, external grants as principal investigator, PhD students supervised to completion as main supervisor, and a minimum Scopus h-index. A researcher can therefore read the job requirements before the first call. Expatriate staff receive 100% tuition waivers for their children at the international schools of the Taylor’s Education Group, as the job descriptions state. Each page also links to the verification check, which confirms whether an email about these roles genuinely came from Axe Talent.
